Bram de Vree: “Great to have a string quartet in the series for the first time. It is the ultimate chamber music formation – a perfect symbiosis of two violins, viola and cello. The experienced Alfama Quartet shows better than anyone else what this line-up is capable of: subtle interplay, from rare intimate to great expressive displays of power, an intense exchange of sound and emotion.”
