Eva sur Seine - Quartet

Jazz in a shiny gypsy jacket
Eva sur Seine is a jazz group consisting of singer Eva Scholten and the brothers Thomas and Max Baggerman on guitar, with Jort Terwijn on double bass. Their unique sound combines Eva's refined jazzy voice with the gentlemen's virtuoso gipsy jazz, which makes them comparable to greats such as the Rosenberg Trio and Ella Fitzgerald. The repertoire includes contemporary performances of pieces by Django Reinhardt, French chansons, false musette and jazz standards. Thomas and Max have played on various stages with well-known artists and Thomas is internationally recognized as one of the best gipsy jazz guitarists. Eva, a graduate of the Amsterdam Conservatory, has also performed at various festivals and abroad, where she complements Thomas' guitar solos with her timing and improvisation.
