When they unexpectedly inherit a deserted house in the countryside of Normandy, a group of cousins discover that they share a special family history. In 1895, their ancestor Adèle, 21 years old, went looking for her mother in Avant-Gardist Paris The city was at that time the heart of a new art world with the rise of photography and the breakthrough of impressionist painting. While the descendants of Adèles follow Spoor, they discover that her story is interwoven with that bustling art world and even crosses with that of Claude Monet.
