Mist
"Mist" is a tragicomedy that shows the confused portrait of an old variety artist Willy Borél (played by Laus Steenbeeke). When dementia is determined by him, he ends up in a care home. His days there are gray and hopeless and far beyond the spotlights. Very different from when he used to celebrate large triumphs as a famous artist, together with his regular pianist ... but also horrible. The days in the nursing home make him flee. Flights in the drink and in its turbulent past. A complex web of false memories, reproaches, unprocessed sadness, great successes and the search for identity are slowly unfolds in an inventive way.
A topcast including Laus Steenbeeke shows an ingeniously constructed tragicomedy full of intrigues, humor, sharpness, recognisability and emotion where nothing is what it seems.
