Mist
'Mist' is a tragicomedy that shows the confused portrait of an old variety artist Willy Borél (played by Laus Steenbeeke). When he is diagnosed with dementia, he ends up in a nursing home. His days there are gray and hopeless and far from the spotlight. Very different from when he used to celebrate great triumphs as a famous artist, together with his regular pianist... but also suffered a horrible downfall. The days in the nursing home make him flee. Escaping into drink and his turbulent past. A complex web of false memories, accusations, unresolved grief, great successes and the search for identity slowly unfolds in an inventive manner.
A top cast including Laus Steenbeeke shows an ingeniously constructed tragicomedy full of intrigue, humor, sharpness, recognisability and emotion, where nothing is what it seems.
