Släpstick
Where Chaplin meets Tchaikovsky
In Schërzo, Släpstick's idiosyncratic, dazzling and hilarious take on classical music, nothing is as it seems. The four musical all-rounders take you on a crazy trip past the masterpieces of Rossini, Brahms, Schubert, Saint-Saëns, Gershwin and many other illustrious composers. Släpstick plays the great classics in an inimitable way and in passing honors comedy heroes such as Victor Borge, Mini & Maxi, Danny Kaye and Charlie Chaplin.
While the musical term 'scherzo' (Italian for banter, joke) stands for a short, lively piece, Släpstick likes to stretch this definition a little further with Schërzo. Because when physical theater and top musicians with a great sense of timing and humor come together, you can expect a yodelling Schubert in a ventriloquism battle with Beethoven, a speed devil on the double bass and of course the '21 masterpieces in 1 minute'.
Experience the limitless universe of Släpstick for yourself, with their dizzying array of instruments, acclaimed theatrical discoveries and classical music at the highest level.
