where chaplin meets tchaikovsky

In Schërzo, Släpstick's quirky, swirling and hilarious view of classical music, nothing is what it seems. The four musical all-rounders take you on a colder trip along the masterpieces of Rossini, Brahms, Schubert, Saint-Saëns, Gershwin and many other illustrious composers. Släpstick plays the great classics and Eert and passant comedy heroes such as Victor Borge, Mini & Maxi, Danny Kaye and Charlie Chaplin.

Where the music term "Scherzo" (Italian for Scherts, joke) stands for a short, lively piece, Släpstick with Schërzo is happy to rack this definition a little further. Because if physical theater and top musicians come together with a great sense of timing and humor, you can expect a Yodelende Schubert in a belly talk battle with Beethoven, a speed devil on the double bass and of course the "21 masterpieces "in 1 minute.

Now experience the boundless universe of Släpstick, with their dizzying amount of instruments, acclaimed theatrical finds and classical music at the highest level.

earlier theater shows

With the earlier theater shows Släpstick and The Roaring Twenties, the musical clowns made of Släpstick National and International Furore. With sold-out halls from the Netherlands to New Zealand, ovational applause and a prize rain as a result. Släpstick's new show Schërzo celebrated its world premiere in Edinburgh in the summer of 2023, followed by concerts in Germany and South Korea. In the spring of 2025 this classic show will premiere in the concert halls and theaters in the Netherlands.
