Valkenswaard Chamber Orchestra with opera star Anna Emelianova

This afternoon the Valkenswaard Chamber Orchestra (VKO) will be led for the first time this afternoon by conductor Obada Zabadina with works by Schubert and Mozart.

Franz Schubert (1797 – 1828) was only 31 years old. Yet he wrote about 1500 works, including 9 symphonies. Schubert himself nicknamed his Symphony 4 in C minor the Tragic. He composed it in 1816, at the age of 19.

Anna Emelianova

Soprano Anna Emelianova sings opera and songs and collaborates with various ensembles and orchestras. Her crystal clear voice with great technical skills and free acting skills on stage always resonate warmly with the audience. Together with the VKO she sings songs and concert arias by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791) from, among others. Le Nozze di Figaro and Don Giovanni.

Valkenswaard Chamber Orchestra

The VKO has about thirty enthusiastic and talented members who play music at a high amateur level. The orchestra plays music specially written for smaller orchestral settings and performs 3 to 4 concerts per year. The orchestra's ambition is to perform works from classicism (Beethoven, Mozart) through romanticism (Schubert, Mendelssohn) to crossovers with jazz and pop culture.
