Celtic Sparks

Experience the energy of Irish dancing with Celtic Sparks! The most talented Dutch musicians and dancers in the Irish genre join forces for this evening full of music and dance. After their successful debut show 'A Trip to Ballygonefishin', they are now back with a brand new, full-length program. A show full of dexterous playing, ear-pleasing singing and spectacular Irish dancing that really sparks. Don't miss it!

Celtic Sparks follows in the footsteps of well-known shows such as 'Riverdance' and 'Lord of the Dance', presenting Irish music and dance in an overwhelming way. With no fewer than 10 dancers and 8 musicians, Celtic Sparks is a major production, where you will be treated to an unforgettable experience. The evening program consists entirely of original compositions and choreographies, with a wide variety of sounds, from sweet-toned Celtic ballads to the well-known rolling Irish tap dance.

The performance is designed by dancer Rosalie Wagenaar, founder of the Rose Irish Dance School and dancer with Rapalje, and musician/composer Tijn Berends. The music is played by Iván Nogueira (cello), Philip Steenbergen (guitar), Erik de Jong (accordion), Anneke Eijkelboom (violin), Suzanne Berends (bodhrán), Michael Boere (uillean pipes), Annelies Pronk (flute), and by Tijn Berends himself. The dancers are selected from the top class of the Rose Irish Dance School.
