The successful dance performance 'GOD is a DJ' is back in the theaters! SALLY brings the thrilling dance experience of the club to the theater. A performance about self-discovery, freedom of expression and the power of community. With the feel and energy of a nightly dance party that gets everyone moving.

Immerse yourself in ecstatic movements and lose yourself to find yourself. In 'GOD is a DJ' everyone can be whoever they want to be, because only when you let go of labels and limitations can you experience true freedom. In a swirling mix of music, video, movement and emotion, you are drawn into a dance experience from the first minute in which the boundaries between spectator and performer are blurred.

The performance is inspired by the Faithless dance hit of the same name from the 1990s. In addition to this iconic title track, the performance brings a dynamic mix of recognizable pop and dance hits from the 90s to the present, making 'GOD is a DJ' a celebration of recognition and connection for adult and younger visitors.

SALLY's artistic director Stefan Ernst brings this unique dance experience to the theater together with guest choreographers Michael Lubbers, Emma Evelein and Winston Ricardo Arnon in a ground-breaking performance with high danceability.

Participation process

SALLY Dance Company Maastricht offers young dancers the opportunity to gain stage experience in a professional setting and invites dancers (between 12 and 25 years old) to participate in this performance! If you are interested, click here for more information.

Pre-party

Before the start, you are very welcome at the pre-party of 'GOD is a DJ' in our Multifesta at 2:30 PM. In this inspiring and interactive introduction you will meet SALLY and the participating young people, and they will dive into the theme of the performance together. The pre-party is an important part of SALLY's ode to the dance floor and contributes to the overall experience of the afternoon. If you would like to attend the pre-party, choose the price type 'normal incl. pre-party'. A limited number of places are available for the pre-party.
