A folk singer enters. Ready for the concert of his life. His oeuvre: songs about his life. His hits: 'My sweet but naughty dog', 'A difficult Christmas Eve with the family' and 'Oh dear spring where are you...?'.

He cheerfully starts singing adult songs about his melancholy life. Only, does everyone want to hear this misery? And aren't the songs very similar? When the children in the audience slowly but surely become rebellious, the theater realizes that it has booked the wrong act for the young target group. The theater programmers subtly try to get rid of the folk singer. But how do you stop someone who doesn't want to stop? Or who doesn't even notice anything?

'The best of me' is a performance about the magic of the theater, how you can create big changes with small things and that together you often achieve more than if you wanted to do everything alone. Guard.. Is that the folk singer behind the technology, or is the technology running after the folk singer...? And how can it suddenly snow on stage?
