The Reijndonck family moves to grandfather Cornelius' country house. After grandma's death, caring for sick grandpa becomes too much for the butler and housekeeper. Due to Alzheimer's, Grandpa no longer talks and hardly seems present.

The villagers believe that the family does not belong there and do not hide this. The real estate agent, from the village, devises a plan to get them away and carries it out together with her two assistants. When they discover that Grandpa is in big trouble, the real estate agent confronts the family. This causes tensions and arguments within the family.

Meanwhile, the youngest daughter discovers, thanks to clues from Grandpa, that something is hidden in the mansion. Although no one believes her at first, she manages to convince her brother and sister. Together they look for the secret. But what lies hidden? And can this discovery solve their problems?
