Speels Collectief
How can we deal with incentives in a world that revolves around efficiency?
With 'CONTENT WARNING: few stimuli', Speels Collectief is looking for a place where people who are sensitive to stimuli can come down and be present. Director Sanne Arbouw, who herself struggles with sensitivity to stimuli, anxiety and panic attacks, investigates together with performers - 'remote' and 'on stage' - how we can move in the stimulus flow of life. Where is the humanity and stimulus friendliness in the design of public space? Can we create a new 'incentive standard'? And what if you have conflicting desires and sometimes actually need incentives?
Expect a wavy, fluffy world in which you can be your very soft self: earplugs in abundance, eye masks within reach, blankets for everyone and a low-stimulus rave.
The performance takes place during Accessibility Week, is stimulus-friendly and there are low-stimulus facilities at each theater. There will be a discussion after the performance.
Blind interpreter available
Theater for everyone! That is why we strive to make our theater as accessible as possible for, among others, the disabled, the deaf and hard of hearing and for people who are blind or partially sighted. Theater is not just watching, but also hearing, feeling and experiencing in every genre. A blind interpreter will be present at this performance. With live audio description and a special meet & feel introduction you can follow the performance well. Through earphones you can hear the live image description of the interpreter present and you will not miss anything. Specific seats in the room are not necessary. You can order tickets in the usual way and choose the price type 'Normal - blind interpreter' in the online ordering process.
