Welcome to the forest where it's always someone's birthday! A forest full of cakes, letters, presents, music, very large and very small parties. Mijntje Pronk and Judith Westbroek take on the role of all kinds of animals from Toon Tellegen's stories. Squirrel, pike, bear and ant;
The animals make early friendships and wonder what 'missing' and 'moving' are. Sometimes they feel sad and then very happy. With humor and lots of fun, Mijntje and Judith switch from one beastly birthday to another. Who can come to your party? What kind of gift are you bringing? Will it be fun? Imagination is central to this performance and is contagiously stimulated by the makers. The recognizable situations of all the animals in the forest fit in seamlessly with the experiences of toddlers and their parents. 'Who is celebrating their birthday today?' is a musical theater party for young and old, full of original songs that will continue to resonate for a long time. For anyone who has ever had a birthday or is planning to have a birthday again.
