A poem for the world - NDT 2
The second NDT 2 program of this season celebrates the playfulness and humanity of our dancers. Edward Clug takes us into mutual comfort (2015), in which dancers explore the connection with each other amid live music by Milko Lazar. Subtle humor, unexpected beauty and detailed movements reveal the essence of Clug's dance universe in just ten minutes.
From her poetic work Kunstkamer, Crystal Pite developed the quartet Four Solitudes (2019), in which love and loneliness meet. Inspired by Rilke and accompanied by Schubert's live piano music, Pite explores how individual loneliness and being together can strengthen each other, resulting in a virtuoso and moving dance experience.
Finally, Johan Inger presents a world premiere, a new work created with the NDT 2 dancers. Focused on musicality, human relationships and emotional presence, the piece shows how listening, exchanging and dancing together can form movements that reveal who we are today.
