In ALKIBIADES the story of Greece's most controversial politician unfolds, caught between boundless self-love and the general interest of his people.

At the same time, the performance holds up a confrontational mirror to us. Are the people themselves capable of knowing what is good for them? And how important do we still find the truth, when probability becomes more desirable than facts?

The result is a moving story in a world in which the democratic contract threatens to be broken at any moment. An insight into a system that is reaching its limits, but for which there apparently is no better alternative.
