All Inclusive - Jitske Kramer en Dolf Jansen

Overig

In this special theater college, anthropologist Jitske Kramer examines with comedian Dolf Jansen what it means to be human together. How can you be a good person? How do you deal with power, inclusion and privileges? What do words like Woke and Inclusion mean? Jitske tells her personal story and shares anthropological insights about the dynamics of difference. Dolf Jansen responds to the questions that are raised and gives his opinion. With special attention to the equality and inequality between men and women.

Inclusion means that everyone is welcome, but not that we tolerate every behavior. We are going to have it together about this border. Inclusiveness is about power relationships. Who can go where which limit? Who determines what is normal? Is there such a thing as "the ordinary Dutchman"? And what if you are "unusual"? Do you just have to "do normal" a bit?

People together form cultures and cultures are people. A powerful interesting and emotional process: what is normal and who determines that? Jitske creates space in this theater college for new ways of looking and acting. An evening with clear theory about heavy themes, but also light, air and laugh by spoken word, live music and comedy.

Inclusion is a hot topic. It's about participating, participating and participating. In other words: about boundaries, leadership, power, privileges, conflicts, emotions, curiosity, differences and similarities. And how you handle this well.

Diversity is about the mix of visible and invisible differences. Inclusion is about how we deal with this mix. Jitske Kramer wrote a catchy book about this: jam cultures . And together with Dolf Jansen, she investigates the beautiful and difficult sides of these themes in this theater college.

They see inclusion as a jam session. Jamming together means acting from uncertainty, because you don't know exactly what you're going to get out of. But with the absolute certainty that everyone wants to listen to each other sincerely. It is collaborating with guts to say what you have to say, and to actively look for completely different and opposite sounds.  You want to be there, you have to be there!

After this theater college, a Meet & Greet takes place with Jitske Kramer and Dolf Jansen.
