A painfully topical tragicomedy about love, ambition and the unaffordability of an independent existence. The brand new theatre text is by Vera Morina. Direction and concept are by Zorba Huisman, who, after the success ofLungs(2025) returns to Toneelgroep Maastricht with another deeply human story about thirties, set against the background of a housing market that intervenes deeply in the most personal choices.
During an all-consuming fight, in which words like weapons inflict wounds, their fate seems determined: Yara and Milo must now separate. But her bid for a house was rejected again and his lease contract continues for another six months. Breaking up doesn't seem to be an option.
