In Bloedheet & tranen Flemish presenter and theatre maker Evi Hanssen explores, with a healthy dose of humour, how the menopause, that wondrous phase in a woman’s life, affects her body and mind. She talks about her struggles with herself and those around her, her transition from fiery sex bomb to confident greying lady, and the hormonal chaos that turns her life, and the lives of those around her, upside down.
Just as in Sinds ik niet meer drink Evi engages with the audience in a playful and personal way. She shares her experiences of the changes in the female body and explains, in a light-hearted yet scientifically grounded way, how her hormones occasionally do their own thing.

This evening is all about celebrating the strength of women. Whether you come with girlfriends or with male company (because they have to deal with the menopause too!), this is the perfect opportunity to raise a glass together to this special phase of life.
