Imagine: a large tree full of dreams. Dreams that once started small, like seeds, and now grow into powerful stories. Under the branches of the dream tree, four groups of elderly people from Eindhoven play their personal, poetic and sometimes hilarious dreams. They dream of what was and what could be, of love, adventure, party and whispers from the heart.

Four stories come together in one show. Four theater groups, four personal dreams, bundled into one impressive theater experience. 

Toneelgroep Wissenhaege - whispers. Director: Johnny Mirer
Tender desires and naughty wishes hide in the heart. Dancing in a petticoat, being in love with the Italian sun, and ... Just be allowed to be a child again. "You have to talk a little harder!"

Toneelgroep Berckelhof - I also on you.
A dance of love, desire and memory. Love knows no age: whether you are 28 or 83, the desire remains. A tender and personal view of romance over the years.

Toneelgroep Peppelrode - What do we do it on?
An ode to the power of fantasy, friendship, music and pleasure. A performance that takes you to a world without limitations, where old age dissolves in zest for life and you travel together with other dreamers.

Inspired by Pinter's mysterious world. Who are these people? Why are they here? A party where the boundary between dream and reality fades and in which improvisation and threat dance together.

New: Behind the scenes - Spoken Word
Writer and Spoken Word Artist Carmen Verduyn (1994) delves into the creation process of the theater groups. She catches the vulnerable, funny, moving moments of rehearsing and turns it into a live lecture. She offers a unique look behind the scenes, while the performance has only just started.

Proud comrades is a collaboration between Vitalis, Carte Blanche, CKE and Parktheater Eindhoven, with the aim of sustainably anchoring art and culture in elderly care. Vitalis now has ten years of experience with proud comrades and knows better than anyone how powerful theater can be for the elderly.
