Deniz Göktaş set off to realize his lifelong dream to become a filmmaker, but accidentally ended up in the world of stand-up comedy in a cracking cellar in the old town of Istanbul. This led to a career in stand-up comedy, where he became one of the best-selling stand-up comedians in Turkey within a short time, while his dreams to be splashing a filmmaker.

Together with his successful column in the Uykusuz Comics Magazine and his acclaimed podcast series 'Deniz Göktaş’a Ayıracak Vaktim Yok', he managed to intrigue his Turkish audience around the world with his politically charged, witty and dry form of stand-up comedy.

After releasing his first stand-up comedy special 'Selam, Selam', Deniz Göktaş is looking for new material and works on putting together his new hour. He will present his new show in the Parktheater Eindhoven as part of the Wonka Comedy Festival.
