End of season – Introdans

End of season - Introdans

Dans & ballet

No Dutch Required

New makers are introduced and the company looks back on special collaborative projects. For dancers ending their careers, the annual End of Season is the opportunity to shine one last time.

The program includes no fewer than six (inter)national ballets. From the critically acclaimed Susto and humorous SH-BOOM! From 1994 by Lightfoot & Leon, to the Introdans premiere of the duet Mano a Mano by choreographer duo Iratxe Ansa and Igor Bacovich. They call it 'a tightrope walk between me and you', danced to the rich music of Astor Piazolla's Otoño Porteño.

A second duet in the program is the optimistic Floating Flowers by Po-Cheng Tsai, which he created in 2014 as a tribute to his father. The ballet Promenade by choreographer Robert Battle can also be seen; The result is an impressive play with gravity, in which the dancer appears to float through the air, devours space and then magically comes to a stop in the center of the stage.
