Choreographer Crystal Pite and artistic director of NEAR SIMON MCBurney exchanged ideas about both their fears and their careful hope for our time. For this they used a rich and surprising collection of sources: from the sound of melting ice caps to the loud protests of climate deniers, from neuroscience lectures across the brain to the cacophonic cakel of Instagram influencers.

Together they created three works for NDT 1 over a period of four years.
