Cabaret

These are the three finalists of the Amsterdams Kleinkunst Festival. After months of writing, performing, cutting and starting over, after try-outs all over the country, coaching by professional directors, masterclasses and the finals at the Kleine Komedie, they are now exactly where they want to be: on stage for the finalists’ tour.

Don’t expect a safe middle ground. Do expect sharp humour, musical power, poetic flashes of invention and stories that lay something bare. Sometimes light and playful, sometimes raw and confronting. Always personal. From heart-warming to delightfully idiosyncratic. This is the stage at which promise turns into signature. And you get to see it happen.

“The Amsterdams Kleinkunst Festival continues to set itself apart as the festival with the broadest definition of cabaret and kleinkunst.” (de Volkskrant)
