Inspired by fairy tales, comic strips and his Surinamese background, choreographer Remy Tilburg creates a powerful and visual performance in which dancers transform into mythical flamingo figures. The performance thus touches on themes such as evolution, freedom and identity, but our relationship with vulnerable nature is also reflected.

Tilburg was for a long time one of the defining dancers at Conny Janssen Danst. In 2024 he started his own company: IID Company. “Compelling images of almost old-masterly beauty and sometimes symphonic quality.”
