Six dancers and six musicians form one breathing body that moves, grinds and resonates. Dance and music circle around what was once animated, but now feels empty. The music moves between new compositions and influences from the musical heritage from Granada to Baghdad, with percussion, oud and violin as leading voices. In the intuitive movement language, hip-hop and contemporary dance merge into one recognizable, hybrid form. This creates one shared language in which sound becomes movement and movement becomes rhythm.

Ghosts interweaves body, music and memory into a living ritual. The audience witnesses a search for inspiration. To that which lies dormant beneath the surface, refusing to disappear. From whisper to outburst, dancers and musicians search for what lies behind rituals that lost their origins, thus creating new meanings. Because our cultural memory lies in our rituals;
