One of them, Brigitte van Bakel, had a child with her husband exactly by the book; the other, Maya van As, pioneered and inseminated her way, as a queer woman, to a rainbow family. Two completely different stories with one common denominator: the child itself is fantastic, but everything surrounding it is one big disillusionment.
