Het Koffertje - De Horde
With leftover materials, ingenious makeshift contraptions and music, theatre maker and actress Ruta van Hoof brings the suitcase to life. Right before your eyes, little worlds appear, with playful puppies, dancing cassette tapes and astonished owls. In no time at all she has you falling in love with a few bits of wood or a rusty scouring pad. Het Koffertje is enchanting, musical object theatre in its most intimate form, for children aged four and up.
Surrounded by her audience, Ruta explores how people form emotional attachments to objects. Using everyday household items, she creates inventive worlds that invite free association and in which you can lose yourself completely for a while. Het Koffertje is an accessible, interactive show about losing, missing and being found.
