On the surface, this brilliant opera tells a sweet story in which the composer Janáček brings the sounds of the animal world to life. The piece is full of singing animals, but the central focus is on the relationship between nature and humans. A fox cannot be tamed and that is why it constantly challenges the human world.

Gouden Krekel winner and playwright Jibbe Willems wrote a new, sparkling Dutch translation for the Reisopera and the cast stars Dutch and Flemish opera stars.
