Musical & Show

In this musical full of pop-rock music, this well-known chapter of our history proves more relevant than ever. What is freedom worth if you only get it by conforming? What price are you willing to pay for peace?

In a country where religion and politics clash, Hugo chooses tolerance and freedom of thought. In doing so he makes himself an enemy and loses his own freedom. When Hugo is imprisoned in Loevestein Castle, his voice seems to have been silenced for good. Thanks to the courage and ingenuity of his wife Maria, a plan takes shape – and the rest is history.

Hugo de Groot, de musical is a gripping story about freedom, doubt and the courage to give others room. What if freedom starts with you?
