Interval - Misiconi
As a visitor you enter a dark space. Slowly your eyes, your ears, your body get used to it. From the darkness a universe unfolds in which movement, sound and scenography merge. Dancers move through an environment in which objects come to life when touched and every action adds a new layer to what you see and feel.
Interval is about the 'in between': the period in which we live, move, adapt and let go.
It is a physical experience of transience and growth, of continuously rewriting ourselves in relation to the world around us.
This performance invites you to look differently, to feel differently.
To not understand time, but to undergo it.
Get in. Slow down. Experience the space in between.
Interval is a collaboration between Misiconi and Scapino Ballet Rotterdam, V2_ Lab for the Unstable Media, Theaterfestival Boulevard and Theater Zuidplein.
Stimulation zones
At Misiconi we believe that a performance only really comes to life when a visitor can experience it in their own way.
While one person likes to be completely absorbed in light, sound and interaction, the other prefers some distance and overview.
With that idea, Misiconi developed the Stimulus Zones: a new form of public reception where you as a visitor decide how many stimuli you want to experience.
