Cabaret

After an impressive first season, rapper and actor Khalid Alterch, better known by his alias Icemanvieze, or simply Ice, returns to the theatre. What began with try-outs at Theater Zuidplein grew into a huge success: 60 sold-out shows and more than 32,000 visitors, earning it gold status. This season, his acclaimed show returns as a reprise.

Ice first made his name with his music, building a strong fanbase. To this day he remains active as a musician and keeps releasing new music, alongside his work as an actor and performer.

In recent years, Ice has developed into a versatile performer. His big breakthrough as an actor came with his role as Tonano in the hit series Mocro Maffia. The character proved so strong that it got its own spin-off on Videoland, with a second season now on the way. He also played a lead role in the comedy series Nordin on Prime Video, a role that earned him a Golden Calf nomination.

In this show, Ice takes the audience through his personal story as a person, artist and actor. He takes them to the streets of Rotterdam West, his father’s ice-cream van and the Rotterdam market.

With a mix of humour and openness, he shares the highs and lows of his life. From bizarre experiences to confronting insights, Ice switches effortlessly between lightness and vulnerability, so his stories both move and entertain.

The show feels like the next step in his development as a storyteller. He reflects on his road to success, the obstacles he encountered and the choices that shaped him, both on stage and off.

After a first season that was embraced en masse, this new run offers another chance to experience Ice up close. Not just as an artist, but as a storyteller who knows how to move his audience with nothing more than his words.
