Ooghoogte holds up a mirror to us. Mercilessly, you might say. Since May 2024 Alex has been in a wheelchair, thanks to the muscle condition HSP. Drawing on his experiences as a novice wheelchair user, he explores how inclusive we really are.

Every threshold becomes a hurdle. And there turn out to be a lot of them. How do you get on a plane? How do you enter a historic building with a stately flight of front steps, or a conference on, yes really, accessibility? With a great sense of humour and a healthy dose of self-mockery, Alex calls out our well-meant awkwardness, unsolicited advice and imposed helpfulness.
