Now is the time of monsters
Director Noël Fischer: “I read a quote from the 1930s: ‘The old world is dying, and the new world struggles to be born: now is the time of monsters.’ I see that reflected in Shakespeare’s Richard III, but also in the lust for power, the urge to control and the narcissistic games of autocratic politicians.”
Writer Peer Wittenbols has created a modern adaptation of Shakespeare’s Richard III for Noël Fischer. Featuring Gustav Borreman, Alex Hendrickx, Tessa Jonge Poerink, Livia Lamers, Rick Paul van Mulligen, Esther Scheldwacht, Betty Schuurman, Jip Smit, Mante Tausk and Vincent van Woerkom.
