Roboverse - Ulrike Quade Company

The stage is occupied by a robot zoo with a four-legged SPOT, a small mobile KUKA, Dorna arms and drones. This motley crew of centaurs and hybrid creatures form the main narratives to retell the ancient story of man and technology. Combining puppetry, myth, human physicality and robotics, Roboverse is a choreography of mutating forms that balances the familiar and the alienating, the intimate and the spectacular.

Roboverse puts people and robots at the center. Director Ulrike Quade and dramaturge Maaike Bleeker combine artistic and technological research to enrich this magical world with the questions asked. Composer Farzaneh Nouri designs a layered electro-acoustic soundscape that transports the audience to this strange space.
