The bands have joined forces and will bring their biggest hits to life during Summer in the Sixties. Especially for everyone who wants to enjoy an unforgettable afternoon full of music, nostalgia and fun!

Practical information
The event is free for young and old. The doors open at 1:30 PM and the program starts at 2:00 PM. The afternoon ends around 6:00 PM.  In addition, there are both standing and seating areas (not reservable). 

ABOUT THE BANDS

Mac Taple
Mac Taple is a rock 'n' roll band from Eindhoven that has been playing the repertoire of icons such as Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, The Everly Brothers, Roy Orbison, Fats Domino and Chuck Berry for 50 years. The band performed with greats such as Fats Domino and Jerry Lee Lewis and played several times at the famous Cavern Club in Liverpool. The current line-up is: Jan van Riet (vocals and percussion), Jan Jansen (guitar and vocals), Richard Cremers (guitar and vocals), Peter Visser (bass guitar and vocals) and Ger Vermeer (drums). 

The Jerseys
Were founded in 1965 as a school band. In the Dorpshuis in Acht, the Jerseys train starts to pick up steam in 1966 with many performances in almost all halls in and around Eindhoven. They have regularly had great performances since the 1970s, but in 2006 they really got back to work with 15 years of Back to the sixties, in the Stadspviljoen in Eindhoven and Summer in the sixties, in the Van Doorne kiosk. Every year, three bands were invited by The Jerseys to play music on the first Sunday afternoon in September. 

Route 66
The beat group SUNCYCLE was founded in the Eindhoven region at the end of the 1960s. In the 1990s they made a new start under the name ROUTE 66.   The current line-up has been consisting of singer Peter Vugts, drummer Frans Schellekens, keyboardist Walter Goyvaerts, bassist Paul Slaats and guitarists Frans Liebregts and Carlo Luijten for over 10 years.

REWIND
The band REWIND rewinds to the 60's and 70's with here and there a trip to the 80's. For those who 'rewind' was once a daily activity, it will be a feast of recognition with the - slightly different - hits from that time than you would expect from, among others: The Beatles, Emmylou Harris, Elvis, The Eagles, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Billy Ray Cyrus, The Rolling Stones, Shocking Blue, Fleetwood Mac, Santana and many others.
