In The Show Goes On, Romy and Thomas go in search of the perfect meeting scene. Two backpackers on a night train, two strangers among the detective novels in the library, a job interview in which words trip over nerves and doubt. Again and again the question arises whether they will truly manage to meet each other, or whether it will remain a chance crossing of paths.

They play a scene, a moment, stop, hesitate and keep searching. The Show Goes On is both the rehearsal for the show and the show itself. What feels unfinished is allowed to stay unfinished. What fails gets another try.
