In The Show Goes On Romy and Thomas look for the perfect meeting scene. Two backpackers on a night train, two strangers among the detective books in the library, a job application in which words stumble over nerves and doubt. The question arises again and again whether they succeed in really meeting each other, or whether it remains a coincidental intersection of paths.

They play a scene, a moment, stop, doubt and continue their search. The Show Goes On is at the same time the rehearsal for the performance and the performance itself. What feels unfinished may remain unfinished. What fails gets a new try.
