The Sunshine Boys is a world-famous stage classic by Neil Simon from 1972.
The play was successfully filmed and performed numerous times and is now given a new Dutch interpretation.
Two variety artists once formed a successful duo.
After more than ten years of radio silence, the grumbling artists are brought together to perform their most famous sketch one more time.
However, old successes appear to be no guarantee for a smooth reunification.
Only when one of them suffers a heart attack do the sharp edges disappear and space is created for vulnerability.
The Sunshine Boys is a comic and moving performance about two people who, despite everything, are inextricably linked for a lifetime.
