Tuimelaar - Frisse Oren
Following on from the successful production Wiegeling, Frisse Oren is once again developing a music show for very young children. This time the starting point is the music of Taiwanese percussionist Yung Tuan Ku. Her compositions have their roots in Asia and travel lightly and playfully through memory and imagination. They stimulate the senses and evoke places you may never have been, yet which still feel familiar.
Tuimelaar is a sensory, musical experience for babies and their parents and grandparents. In a soft, safe environment, Frisse Oren goes exploring in the world of gravity. Rolling, tumbling, somersaulting, toppling, tipping over and bouncing back are at the heart of this show. The audience is invited to watch, listen, sway and sometimes tumble along for a moment.
Three musicians meet each other and the audience: a percussionist, a clarinettist and a trumpeter. Together they create an intimate yet open atmosphere in which children can respond, move and be filled with wonder all over again.
