Eitan, a Jewish student in New York falls in love with the Arabian Wahida, but comes across the unwavering attitude of his father who does not want to admit 'the enemy' in his family. Eitan goes looking for his roots in Israel and ends up in the hospital after a bomb attack. The family members gather around the hospital bed and bring a long concealed secret to light that all assumptions about identity and enmity to shake.
Director Alize Zandwijk introduced the work of Wajdi Mouawad in the Netherlands.
