This is the beginning of the Stonewall riots, the moment when the queer community is fighting for equal rights worldwide. Now, more than fifty years later, queer rights are under pressure again.

In Waiting for Marsha a group of queer activists, led by Marvan, wants to hijack World Pride 2026 to draw attention to the increasing harassment and violence against queers. The pacifist Marvan feels the growing pressure from the group not to succumb to what's coming their way. Their freedom must be protected at all costs. But how far should they go in this?

“I am seriously concerned about the increasing violence against queer people here in the Netherlands. Just like the characters from Waiting for Marsha, I'm hoping for a new Stonewall moment. Perhaps we will light the fire with this performance."

Prior to this, the interactive conversation will take place in NatLab led by Lowie van Rooij and Aden Joah van Dynamo The Pink Thread take place. From 19:30, Lowie and Aden will discuss with the attendees the content of the performance connected to the queer community in Eindhoven, the issue of equal rights in the past, present and future.
