It is the period of his meeting with Hella, the rise and break-up of Neerlands Hoop, and the exciting start of a solo career with De Komiek. Years of experiment, engagement and doubt, but also of success and a drive to be on stage.

In his own unique way, he still connects personal memories with the spirit of the times, then and now. What seemed self-evident turns out, in hindsight, to be a complicated story. Wisten wij veel is therefore not a retrospective full of certainties, but a search for what really happened.

This show is more than a companion to the book: it is a story in its own right, in which text and performance reinforce each other. Light-footed where possible, sharp where necessary, and always personal.
