Ensemble 4 Seasons
The evening consists of two concert parts. Before the break, Vivaldi's masterpiece The Four Seasons is performed, with Emmy Storms as soloist. This interpretation extends beyond the performances you may be familiar with of this iconic work.
After the break, the ensemble undergoes a complete transformation: the harpsichord is replaced by a grand piano, and bandoneon player Matias Pedrana (Argentina) performs fiery Argentinian passion. The concert after the break consists of The Four Seasons by Astor Piazzolla, in which the sounds of the Argentine tango are virtuoso interwoven with classical elements. Christiaan van Hemert enriches the performance with fascinating explanations and humorous anecdotes, allowing you to understand both interpretations of The Four Seasons more deeply.
The evening will end with some other masterpieces by Astor Piazzolla.
