In this current film about humanitarian aid, soldier Tom Johnson works together with the Dutch translator Sarah van Prague to smuggle food and stocks to starving people in the north who are stuck behind the German lines during the hunger winter of 1944-1945.
Their romance breaks down and sixty years later he returns to the Netherlands to reconnect with the love of his life.
Producer and screenwriter Roger Rapoport and Geert Niland (artistic director of the International Theater Collective in Eindhoven) are also present.
