Kiek Veldhoven #9

Kiek Veldhoven #9

Local Toppers
We kick off the evening with a conversation between organizer Jarno van Osch and local toppers Anita van de Manakker. The 40-year-old photographer from Heeze has a wonderful specialization in the field of photography, namely capturing precious moments in care for people with an intellectual disability or epilepsy. A tough, but also very interesting subject. Van de Manakker talks about herself and why she has embraced this type of photography.

Guest speaker
After this interview, we continue Kiek Veldhoven edition 9 with our guest speaker. On stage, portrait photographer Frank Ruiter will tell his story and the Amsterdam resident will show his own work, which is mainly used in De Volkskrant and NRC Handelsblad. Its high quality also convinced the Royal House to have portraits made of the princesses on the occasion of their eighteenth birthdays. In addition to sharing his beautiful work, Ruiter also tells more about how to use natural light in portraits. He also explains which methods he uses to bend the light to his own will.  During this regular part of Kiek Veldhoven, he points out the plus points of the image and gives tips. As visitors to Kiek Veldhoven, you have the option to submit one of their own photos in advance to info@kiekveldhoven.nl, with the theme 'portrait photography'. Do this before…

Closing
To conclude, various photography outings are shared and several visitors leave the theater with an extra big smile, because great prizes are being given away via 'Lucky Shot'.

Mini expo
Images of Van de Manakker and Ruiter will be displayed in the foyer all evening.
