In Lieve Hemel, presenter and singer Joris Linssen delves into the age-old Bible story of Ruth. A moving and contemporary search for hope and connection in a world that is changing rapidly and where people sometimes lose sight of each other.

Together with musicians Myrthe van de Weetering (vocals, violin and double bass) and Vera Marijt (piano, keys and vocals), Joris brings a performance full of vulnerable stories, moving and recognizable music, interwoven with personal reflections.  Meeting the family and the volunteers around them touched him deeply. In their story he saw the same resilience and hope that characterizes Ruth's story. But the story also raises the question of whether there is still room under heaven for everyone.

Lieve Hemel is a performance about fear and surrender, about losing and starting over - about how, in the midst of a changing world, we still find direction and about the small miracles that arise when we open our hearts.
