Micha Molthoff
The name of his second music theater program, 'Fifty Shades to Fiddle', is a nod to the famous book and film series, but don't be fooled by the title. Although love is the umbrella theme, the 'Fifty Shades' in this program represent the complexity and depth of human emotions and feelings that are explored. Music, as a medium, appears to be ideally suited to bring these countless nuances and sensations to life. The violin, as a specialized tool, and Micha, as a virtuoso player, play an important role in this story.
Micha's musical journey started in a musical family, where his parents met in a youth orchestra and his love for music was born. At a young age he added the guitar to his instruments, but soon the violin found a special place in his heart. He exchanged effortlessly between instruments and composed his own music, encouraged by his father.
His true virtuosity on the violin developed during his conservatory training, where he was taught by renowned teachers, including Philip Hirshorn and Daniël van Sweden. Together with Daniël, he founded a gypsy orchestra that toured through the Netherlands and Europe and with which he played virtuoso pieces from composers such as Paganini, Wieniawski and the Sarasate. Micha also specialized in the Argentinian Tango, in which the violin plays a characteristic role.
Micha's musical journey brought him into contact with various artists and music styles, making him a unique and original musician. He shared the stage with many famous artists and performed in prestigious halls around the world. With his passion for the violin and his compelling musical journey, Micha Molthoff remains enchanting the audience worldwide.
