Yara and Barnabe are sent into the forest by their grandmother to bring some food to a friend. If bad weather breaks out, the children get separated. Barnabe gets lost in the forest. At night beings come to life that do not show themselves during the day.  By following them, Barnabe gets to know their stories about the rainforest.
