In REGARDE BIEN, SeaSession takes you to Fans Polynesia during the turbulent 1970s, a period in which ideals collide hard with raw reality, and absurd events take place in one of the most beautiful places on earth. Tahitians honored to make their ancient land available to the 'mother country' for years of nuclear tests, to make the world safer.

'There is no reason to worry,' said the French authorities at the time about the nuclear tests. The French minister of defense literally illustrated this once again by demonstratively going plank sailing in the radioactive lagoon of the Mururoa atoll shortly after the 139th atomic test, during which he fell into the water several times.

Not far from there, Jacques Brel wrote his last album Les Marquises. The chansons from this album are among the very best from his oeuvre, such as La Cathédrale and Les Marquises. They are poetic paintings of the islands, moving odes to friendship, love, but also reflections on farewell and impending death. Fragments of Brel's chansons are featured, performed by Hein van der Heijden together with the nine musicians of SeaSession, including the ambiguous Regarde bien.Composer and avid Polynesian traveler Reza Namavar writes brand new theatrical music for Regarde bien, in which the sounds of Tahiti - from rhythms and melodies to the typical Tahitian ukulele - return.

With the poetry of JacquesWith some adventure seats for the audience.
