At the age of nineteen, Bart Moeyaert (1964) debuted with duet with false notes , a classic that is still in print. Since then, he has been publishing a book or poetry bundle almost every year, sometimes more often.

In the meantime, the counter is now on more than fifty books in almost all genres and for all ages. His work has been frequently translated and awarded. In 2019, for example, as a second Dutch -speaking writer he once received the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award, the largest prize for the children's literature in the world. The jury praised his "condensed and musical language," which "smells with oppressed emotions and unspoken desires." Last year, Moeyaert's most personal book, , appeared a different life , which he wrote after the death of both his parents. In a cinematic and linguistic way he writes about what it was like to grow up as the seventh son in a traditional family and about the search for who he really was.  About a week before the start, the remaining places in free sale go.
