Saman Amini's integratieplan 2

Cabaret

After the success of Integration Plan #1, named by NRC as the best cabaret performance of 2022, Black Sheep Can Fly comes with a follow -up: Saman Amini's Integration Plan #2: Everything is perspective. Armed with sharp jokes, personal stories and compelling music, Saman disrupts the patterns in which we think ourselves.  This time with a renewed perspective: after 25 years he travels back to his birthplace and looks at Iran through a Western lens. He investigates politics, media and well -being and pays a critical look at the Netherlands with a renewed perspective.   Integration, racism and the role of the media are the core of this performance. Are migrants a burden or a chance? Are extreme right -wing young people hostile or especially afraid of what they lose?   He thought the Netherlands was fantastic. "Do you not suffer from racism?"He laughed: "In Saudi Arabia I asked asylum, but they threw me in the desert. I was almost eaten there by snakes!"Understanding for your opposite - in a debate, a conflict or a conversation - people can bring people closer together. Perhaps our pain is not in what is being done to us, but in the idea that nobody understands us. ”
