An actor is confronted with the consequences of his ambition. A young actor rehearses for Hamlet - the role of roles that will mean his international breakthrough - under the guidance of a famous director with whom he has been working closely for years. The night before the premiere, the actor wakes up from a fever dream. To what extent are the star director's performances and working methods cross-border? In his vulnerable search for answers, the actor comes across memories that he has kept hidden for a long time. As he ruthlessly dissects his relationship with the director, we as an audience witness the unraveling of an oppressive system and the awakening of someone who finally finds his own voice. The Actor promises to be an exciting, moving and hopeful story, in which Florian Myjer grasps one of the hottest issues of our time with both hands.
